About

Bob Woldin Music

Bob Woldin started out life in New Jersey, and it was during his time in college that he made the decision to buy a guitar mistakenly believing it might help attract girls - but it didn't work. However, the guitar seemed a natural fit and would soon become a lifelong partner, and it helped pave the way to starting his first band while attending MSU. While the band was a collection of characters that in the end "sucked", it did become a source of fun and would prep him for eventually performing.

Professionally, It was a teaching career that paid the bills and fulfilled his love of being around people and their stories. He would share his gift of guiding youngsters toward their life goals and once retired, he got his second wind and ventured more fully into a life in music. It had always provided him with the opportunity to connect with others, and he could now enjoy it in a broader sense.

Over the years in mostly casual settings and at small venues, Bob has played with a host of other artists, performing and recording whenever and wherever possible and thoroughly enjoying it. Having been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease (or "Parkinsongs" as he jokingly refers to it) not long ago, the music has become an integral part of his treatment, helping to keep the condition under control, and working to inspire others not to wast their talents.

Through the music - the songs he's written and the cover songs that perfectly convey the messages that touch him, he presents to listeners and further demonstrates the purpose of this art form, and those who bring it to the world.
